Our Services

Heartland Veterinary Clinic strives to provide the best possible care for your pet.  Our services range from preventative health care to othropedic surgeries.  Below is a list of some of our services, feel free to give us a call with any questions and we will be more than happy to answer them and address any concerns that you may have about your pet.

Preventive Health Care
Included here are vaccinations to protect against the most common and deadliest diseases of companion animals. Also, we recommend very important services such as heartworm testing, intestinal parasite screening, feline leukemia testing and feline AIDS testing to ensure the overall health of your companion.

Dentistry
Dental health of our pets is about more than pretty, white teeth. As our pets live longer, dental health is of increasing importance to many other organ systems of the body. We will assess your pet’s oral health and make the appropriate recommendations.

General Health Screening
Routine blood work for any animal and geriatric work-ups for those over 6 years of age are great ways to detect health problems as early as possible. Six month check-ups are also highly recommended to aid in the early detection of health problems. Most problems are more treatable or manageable if caught at an early stage.

Laser Surgery
Heartland Veterinary Clinic was the first veterinary clinic in the valley to include laser surgery and now has more than five years experience. Laser technology can be employed in virtually any surgical procedure we perform. From the most routine to the most advanced, laser allows us to reduce surgical bleeding, post-operative pain and infection rates. Ask our staff about adding laser surgery to your pet’s procedure.

Advanced Orthopedics
Dr. Arneson has years of experience and has participated in countless continuing education seminars related to the most current thinking in orthopedic repair. From cruciate ligament repairs to complex fractures, Heartland can offer surgical services previously not available in the valley. Heartland is also certified for submitting Penn Hip evaluations for breeding.

We Provide Gentle Care and Pain Control
Our philosophy is to provide pain-free health care. We strive to take a preventative approach, intervening in the early stages of painful procedures. All of our surgeries also include a pain management protocol post-operatively.

Microchipping
A permanent identification system can be placed into your pet while you wait. Home Again® microchips are registered to a 24 hour recovery hotline. The unique number in your pet’s chip can be accessed by almost any veterinary practice or shelter nationwide. Home Again also offers additional lost pet services with their annual membership.
